DIY: shred me baby

Saw this at oaknyc while browsing:



the $400+ price tag threw me off, but with help from Forever21, I managed to make my own version:



What I wore yesterday:

Saw "He's just not that into you" last night with people from work..it was ok...I read the book..I think after that movie, I grew a second uterus with all the estrogen, and "awwww..." moments from the rest of the movie-goers.

In other news, they're finally opening and H&M at the mall nearby!! Finally!!! XD!! Can't wait!

Went to Target to return some stuff and exchange it for some travel supplies..
Ya gotta love Target; where else can you buy a gallon of milk and a pair of pants at the same time (well..walmart)

But I found these snow boots for.... $10!!!! And they're my size XD

NYC, Watchmen

Started packing for my NYC trip...still anxious about checking in luggage (I hate the idea of other people just being able to open your luggage *TSA* without you knowing it and just getting a note at the end).
Did some research online and I guess I'll just end up using zip ties to close the zippers (vs the TSA approved locks) since apparently there are still some TSA inspectors that will cut the locks.
Urg..really wish I could just fit all my stuff into a carryon...we'll see... I'll just have to make sure I don't check in anything I wouldn't want to loose (i.e. my camera)

Also, bought tix already for us to see Watchmen in IMAX when it comes out, CANT WAIT!!! >_<

Been a busy week. Worked 2days on 1 day off, 1 1/2 days on again...blahhh...
Saw Coraline in 3D (read the book years ago) and it was AWESOME! I LUV YOU NEIL GAIMAN!!!

Now, I have a love-hate relationship with HK since I used to work for a store that sold primarily HK stuff, and I had the most horrible boss. She would yell at you for no apparent reason, and was just weird.....anyway, ever since then I have seen HK as the devil, but now she has brainwashed me...

Going to lake arrowhead tomorrow...will test out my rockport boots (trying to see if it is warm as reviews say it is)

Thakoon for Target just went on sale, luckily, there is one target where very few people go to (or nobody just likes any items from the collection), because I managed to snag a few popular pieces that are sold out online, like the black shibori print cardigan. They also had some shibori shirt dresses.

Also, verry excited for the Alexander McQueen Collection that Target is releasing on March 4 (right before I leave for NYC)...Gilt has a sale in progress featuring A.McQ,Just bought this:
How could I not??. Just look at the heel!!...although it does leave a guilty feeling in my gut.... >_X

Went to JC Penny to check out their new collection, "I =heart= Ronson" Very few people shopping at JCP, I almost thought they didn't have it:(sorry for the crappy camera phone pics)



I only tried out a few things, because nothing really was catching my eye.

This was a potential buy, if only the price tag wasn't $30....I mean, it looks pretty basic for me..Will just wait for it to go on sale.

This dress was too frumpy on me...

They even had a sweater dress similar to the one Norma Kamali had in her Walmart collection; although this one was $30, not $15....

I thought most of the stuff was overpriced ($30 average). There were a few dresses, jeans, and basic tanks, tees and oversize sweaters. Only ended up getting the cardigan, which was still expensive at $38...may end up returning it....
